Website Improvements & Growth Roadmap
An internal working document for Divine Projects Bharat covering SEO, AEO/GEO, local search, content and conversion priorities for the next 90 days and beyond. Not intended for public navigation — link to it only from internal tools.
1. Snapshot: Where This Site Stands Today
This is a newly built site for a genuinely proven business — seven documented projects worth ₹20 lakh to ₹1.2 crore, two civil-engineer founders, and a specific service mix (civil + interior + MEP + landscaping + maintenance) that most single-trade competitors can't match. The site ships with clean semantic HTML, JSON-LD structured data (Organization/LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, BlogPosting, ImageGallery, Person), compressed/responsive images, and AEO-formatted FAQ content. What it does not yet have — because no business can fabricate these — is age (domain history), backlinks, indexed pages, or a critical mass of Google reviews. Those four are almost entirely what separate this from page-one rankings, and all four are addressed below.
Immediate technical gaps to close before/at launch
- Purchase a real domain and update every placeholder
divineprojectsbharat.comreference in this build (see README.md) — canonical tags, sitemap.xml and schema all currently use a placeholder domain. - Claim and verify Google Business Profile (see Section 5) — this alone matters more for local rankings than any on-page change.
- Replace the single placeholder hero/team image used across the site with final photography once available (flagged in README).
- Connect Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools on day one; submit sitemap.xml.
- Set up a real SMTP service (see php/contact-handler.php) so enquiry emails don't land in spam.
2. Keyword & Topical Authority Strategy
Three keyword tiers, from highest intent to broadest reach:
| Tier | Example Terms | Primary Target Page |
|---|---|---|
| Transactional / local | "interior renovation contractor Ghaziabad", "turnkey construction company Noida", "civil contractor Gurugram", "interior designer near Mayur Vihar" | Home, Services, Contact |
| Service + intent | "4BHK interior renovation cost", "independent floor turnkey construction Delhi NCR", "electrical and plumbing contractor Delhi" | Service pages |
| Informational (AEO/GEO) | "how much does interior renovation cost in Delhi NCR", "turnkey vs traditional contractor", "renovation checklist before starting work" | Blog posts |
Topical authority is built by fully covering one cluster — "Delhi NCR interior renovation & turnkey construction" — rather than spreading thin across unrelated construction topics. Every blog post and service page should internally link back to the Portfolio and Contact pages to consolidate authority toward converting pages.
Internal Linking Map (already implemented, keep enforcing on new content)
- Home → Services overview → 5 service detail pages → Portfolio → Contact
- Every service page links to the Portfolio and to Contact
- Every blog post links to at least one service page and to Portfolio or Contact
- Portfolio case studies link to the Gallery and to Contact
- FAQ page cross-links into relevant service pages
3. AEO & GEO Recommendations (AI Search / Answer Engines)
- Keep facts atomic and citable: the site already states costs, durations and locations as direct sentences (e.g., "Civitech Stadia, Noida — 5BHK renovation, ₹65 lakh, 6 months") rather than burying them in narrative — this is exactly the format ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews lift for citations. Keep this pattern for every new project or blog post.
- FAQPage schema is live on Home, every service page and the dedicated FAQ page — expand this as new questions come from real client calls.
- Add an "About the Author" byline (e.g., "Reviewed by Niraj Giri, Civil Engineer") to blog posts once the site has a few months of history — this strengthens E-E-A-T signals for AI systems evaluating source credibility.
- Keep comparison tables (turnkey vs. self-managed, cost by unit type) — tables are disproportionately reused in AI-generated answers.
- Publish original data (your own project cost/duration table) rather than only generic advice — unique first-party data is what gets a small business cited over larger competitors in AI answers.
4. Local SEO Checklist
- NAP (Name, Address, Phone) must match exactly across the website, Google Business Profile, Instagram bio, and any directory listing — currently: Divine Projects Bharat, 274A, Ground Floor, Pocket C-2, Mayur Vihar Phase-III, New Delhi, Delhi 110096, +91 97180 87830.
- List on IndiaMART, JustDial, Sulekha and UrbanCompany-style directories (already appearing in competitor searches for this niche) with identical NAP.
- Add city-specific service area pages only if genuinely differentiated content can be written for each (avoid thin duplicate "same content, new city name" pages — these hurt more than help).
- Encourage geo-tagged photo uploads to Google Business Profile from each project site.
5. Google Business Profile Action Plan
- Claim/verify the listing under the exact business name and address used on this site.
- Category: primary "General Contractor"; secondary "Interior Designer", "Construction Company".
- Upload real project photos (the same ones now organised in
/assets/images/projects/) geo-tagged by project city. - Add all 7 portfolio projects as GBP "Products/Services" posts with photos.
- Enable messaging and Q&A; seed 3-4 of the FAQ page's questions into GBP's own Q&A section.
- Post updates monthly (new project milestones, before/after photos).
6. Review Acquisition Strategy
This site intentionally does not display fabricated testimonials (see Reviews page) — real reviews need to be collected. Recommended sequence:
- Identify the 7 documented clients (Apex, T&T, Gaurs Siddhartham, Samridhi, Civitech, and the two independent-floor clients) and request a Google review directly, referencing the completed project.
- Send a WhatsApp message with a direct Google review link within one week of every future project handover — response rate drops sharply after the first two weeks post-handover.
- Once 5+ reviews exist, add an
AggregateRatingschema block to the Reviews and Home pages (do not add this schema before real reviews exist — search engines penalise fabricated ratings). - Target: 15-20 reviews in the first 90 days by combining past-client outreach with new-project follow-up.
7. Blog Content Calendar (53 Topics)
Publish 2-3 posts/month, prioritising the case-study and cost-guide topics first (highest conversion + AEO value), then comparisons, then broader planning content.

8. Backlink Opportunities
- Business directories: IndiaMART, JustDial, Sulekha, Trustpilot India, ProvenExpert.
- Local society/RWA newsletters or Facebook groups for Apex The Kremlin, T&T Society, Gaurs Siddhartham, Samridhi Grand Avenue and Civitech Stadia — a short "resident spotlight" case study, with permission, can earn a genuine local link.
- Guest contribution to home-improvement blogs/publications with a byline link (avoid paid link schemes — they violate Google's guidelines and carry real penalty risk).
- Local chamber of commerce / builder association membership listings.
- Supplier/vendor partner pages (furniture, tile, AC brands) that list contractor partners.
9. Social Media Recommendations
- Instagram (@engineers_interior) is the existing asset — cross-link it site-wide (already done in header/footer) and post each new project's before/after sequence.
- Add a YouTube channel for short walkthrough videos of completed projects — video content ranks well in both Google and AI Overviews for "renovation tour" style queries.
- Repurpose blog posts as carousel posts on Instagram/LinkedIn to extend content reach without new writing effort.
10. Conversion Rate Optimization Ideas
- A/B test the hero CTA wording ("Get a Free Site Visit" vs. "Get a Free Quote") once there's enough traffic to measure.
- Add a WhatsApp click-to-chat button (already implemented as a floating button site-wide).
- Add exit-intent or scroll-triggered enquiry prompt on high-traffic blog posts once analytics are in place.
- Show project value/duration facts near every CTA (done on Home & Portfolio) — concrete numbers outperform generic reassurance copy for this audience.
11. 90-Day Growth Roadmap
| Phase | Focus | Key Actions |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1-14 | Foundation | Buy domain, deploy site, connect Search Console/Bing Webmaster Tools, submit sitemap, claim & verify Google Business Profile, set up SMTP for the contact form. |
| Days 15-30 | Local signals | List on 4-5 directories with matching NAP, request first 5 reviews from past clients, publish first 3 blog posts. |
| Days 31-60 | Content & links | Publish 4-6 more blog posts, begin outreach for 2-3 backlinks, add GBP posts weekly, reach 10+ reviews. |
| Days 61-90 | Optimise | Review Search Console query data, expand FAQ with real search queries, add AggregateRating schema once reviews justify it, refresh underperforming pages. |
12. Ongoing Monthly Checklist
- Publish 2-3 blog posts
- Post 4+ updates to Google Business Profile
- Request reviews from every project completed that month
- Check Search Console for new query opportunities and crawl errors
- Add newly completed projects to Portfolio & Gallery with real photos
- Review Core Web Vitals in PageSpeed Insights after any content update
- Re-check NAP consistency if address/phone ever changes
